NDUGA - In a heartfelt demonstration of commitment and care, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, conducted an impactful territorial activity titled “Free Healthcare Services” for the residents of Krepkuri District on Sunday, January 19, 2025. This initiative, carried out amidst their ongoing border security operations in Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province, addressed one of the community's most critical challenges: access to healthcare.
The activity, spearheaded by the Batu Border Post Medical Team, transformed Amor Port into a hub of compassion and relief. The Free Healthcare Services encompassed general medical check-ups, treatment for minor illnesses, the distribution of essential vitamins, and health education sessions focused on hygiene and healthy living practices.
A significant number of residents gathered at the port to take part in the program. Among them was Mr. Lukas Kogoya, who sought treatment for his fever. Expressing his gratitude, he shared, "Thank you, Commander 503. I feel better now. God bless the TNI." His words echoed the sentiments of many who benefitted from the initiative.
The success of the program drew commendation from Major General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General. "The 503 Task Forces' initiative exemplifies TNI's unwavering dedication to supporting local communities by addressing their basic healthcare needs. This effort not only improves lives but also accelerates the development of the Papua region, " he remarked.
