Wuloni Residents Happily Welcomed The Habema Social Communication

PUNCAK - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Wuloni Post led by Captain Honest, conducted Social Communication (Komsos) with residents of the Wuloni Village, Ilaga District, while performing the areal security patrol. This Komsos aims to foster trust and cooperation between the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and the local community to support the Indonesian Government’s program of accelerating the development of the Papua region.

In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the 323 Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, on Wednesday, the Soldiers took advantage of their task by interacting and communicating with some Wuloni residents. The interaction occurred when the 323 Patrol Team passed by the area of Wuloni Village. The residents expressed their concerns about the first aid response by the Soldiers to the community when needed, which they took note of and promised to address.

While maintaining their focus on security, the Soldiers took the opportunity to communicate in harmony with the residents. In this communication, the residents also conveyed the security situation updates in the Wuloni village, which is still relatively safe and conducive. The residents also felt happy with the concern of the Soldiers who stopped by the village. One of them, Mr Zakaria Murib, described her impression by saying, "Thank you, Commander 323. God bless", a powerful testament to the strong bond between the community and the Task Forces. This heartwarming response from the residents underscores the impact of the Task Forces' efforts, as well as the unity and support in the assigned area. The feedback from the residents has an essential effect on military operations, demonstrating the community's influence on the Task Forces’ operations.

After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to communicate socially with some residents in Wuloni village. His words: "The 323 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive social communication with all stakeholders to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region's future positively. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts.
